We are looking for a PART-TIME qualified, experienced dental nurse to join our new friendly, supportive practice team at our brand new practice at Eastgate Dental & Cosmetic Centre.
 

• Wage dependent upon experience

• Working hours- TBC

 

The successful applicant must have excellent communication and organisational skills and a desire to learn and progress within the profession. A brief description of duties are as follows:

• Supporting clinicians in delivering a full range of high-quality dental private treatments to patients

• Assist, reassure and monitor patients throughout treatments.

• Ensure the care and welfare of patients 

• Helping to ensure the smooth running of your surgery and the practice.

• Process and prepare materials as required, this includes processing digital radiographs

•  Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate and according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions

• The opportunity to support the development of other nurses through mentoring. ​

• Maintain your surgery in accordance with cross-infection and prevention policies.

• Be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc

• Manage stock levels of both your surgery and the practice.

• Assist in reception duties.

• Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR  

•  Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct

•  Take necessary steps to ensure GDC registration is maintained.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be passionate about caring for patients

• Be able to work well as part of a team, establish a good rapport, and articulate information clearly

• Be GDC-registered as a dental nurse (or already registered on a training programme)

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Have good IT skills,
